While oral piercings are considered a form of art for some, it can be a serious health risk. Before making the decision on a tongue, lip, cheek or other facial piercing, please consider the facts and do your research.

Oral piercings can cause the transmission of hepatitis B, C, D and G through the piercing site, gum infections, gum recession, chipped teeth, nerve damage, difficulty with speaking and Endocarditus ( bacteria entering the bloodstream causing inflamation of the heart and valves).
